In Dec 2018 the Government changed the law regarding how Sponsors are approved for Partner Visas. Previously Sponsor applications were submitted at the same time as the main Application. The law has changed to require that a Sponsor must be approved before the Application can even be lodged, this will introduce delays to lodging a Partner visa and have many flow on effects to Applicants.
