On November 28, 2018 the Government passed changes to the way Sponsorship Applications for Family Visas will be processed.
Previously the Sponsorship was lodged at the same time as the Application. The changes will require that Sponsorships are lodged AND approved before the Partner Visa can be lodged.
In April 2019 these changes were implemented for Parent visas. As yet DHA have given no indication when they will be implemented for Partner Visas.
